How We Help

  • Practical Support

Hope for Freedom Outreach workers offer supplies like clothing, shoes, food and water. We provide boots, jackets and sleeping bags in the winter and hats, sunscreen and water in the summer.

For a person living in homelessness, these small items can provide dignity, comfort and safety.

  • Advocacy Support

Many of the people we work with face challenges navigating the system, accessing resources, filling out forms or simply determining what to do next in their journey. The overwhelming majority of people struggling with homelessness are facing challenges with mental health and/or addiction. These complex barriers can make it hard to access services that most people take for granted like health care or social services. We help by simplifying the processes, keeping track of the pieces, and lending a listening ear.

Homelessness in our community

The Metro Vancouver Homeless Count recently reported that homelessness in the Tri-Cities has increase by 83% since March 2020.
