Women's Recovery Program

PROGRAM DETAIL

Recovery is not an event. It is a process in which clients may struggle with their commitment to abstinence-based living and staying free from mood-altering substances. We recognize that for some the journey is difficult, filled with unexpected hazards, and uncomfortable emotions. Some women may feel the progress is too slow, while others may find recovery filled with challenge and excitement.

OUR PROGRAM IS DIVIDED INTO THREE PHASES

PHASE I

Intro to recovery, stabilization, and spiritual concepts. Weekly groups on relapse prevention, anger management, and co-dependency classes to learn new healthy coping skills. This phase takes three months. All clients are required to attend NA and AA meetings in the evenings, as well as church services on weekends.

PHASE II

Clients are encouraged to pursue Continuing Education, attend Job Wave or explore employment options. They can take advantage of these resources while still living in a safe structured environment. They can also look into suitable housing for themselves, and their children if applicable, when ready to do so.

PHASE III

We offer a safe place to practice recovery tools and re-integrate back into society and families.

Our primary treatment model is peer-based group work: clients spend up to four hours a day in group therapy. Each client has the opportunity to regularly meet with a counselor throughout the treatment program, either at the counselor's request or at the client's.

Clients who enter our residential treatment program are on full restrictions the first seven days (except weekend meetings) while they get grounded in the house and the process. They will begin their written work including the 12 steps of Narcotics Anonymous and attend groups. Group time will vary depending on lectures, educational information, and life skills content. All clients must attend group during Phase 1 of their recovery. All clients are assigned daily and weekly chores.

Visiting hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4 pm for their children, and their families. No men are allowed on the property.
